Train and Equip Your Advocacy Network

We partner with advocacy groups, research sites, and nonprofit organizations to co-design learning pathways that build knowledge, skills, and confidence—tailored to your community’s goals.

What We Offer:

  • Custom live or self-paced training

  • Role-based advocate preparation (SPORE, study teams, grant review)

  • Dedicated access to the Advocate Institute LMS

  • Ongoing support, toolkits, and certificates

Explore Your Role as a Research Advocate

You don’t need to be part of an organization to get started. Whether you’re a survivor, caregiver, or someone curious about research advocacy, we offer learning experiences that help you build confidence and contribute meaningfully.

What You Can Do:

  • Try our free “Research Advocacy Basics” course

  • Learn about different types of research advocate roles

  • Access trusted tools, guides, and webinars

Where Learning Happens - The Advocate Institute

All of RAN’s online trainings and downloadable resources are found in the Advocate Institute, our dedicated learning platform hosted on Litmos. It is where individuals can explore free self-paced courses, and organizations can support their research advocates’ learning in one central place.

Whether you are exploring on your own or coordinating group access, the Advocate Institute is your next stop.

The Advocate Institute is hosted on an external learning platform (Litmos). You’ll be redirected to complete registration or access your account.

Voices of Advocacy

“One of the best trainings I have attended was RAN’s course on Understanding Health Disparity. The insights I gained directly support my work to ensure research reflects people from all backgrounds.”
